Putting the Past to Use for the Future
Established in 1942, the Birmingham Historical Society's
mission is to
contribute to the quality of life in Birmingham by preserving,
learning from, and celebrating its past while helping to shape
its future. The society is a nonprofit organization supported
by the generous gifts of its members and patrons. This site
contains only a small amount of information available to its
members though annual publications and newsletters. Please
